Choosing a Table

How do I choose the table that's right for me?

First define what your needs are, based on how you will be using your table. (Using it for home massages, relaxation, sport therapy, kinesiotherapy, spa, esthetics, osteopathy, or physiotherapy.)

For Home Massages you will need to choose the lightest table available, with all that traveling from customer to customer that you'll be doing. Aluminum tables are the answer! They are lightweight, durable and compact.

For Relaxation Massage a flexible underside (made out of canvas and nylon straps) will ensure that your clients are getting the maximum in comfort, even if the massage exceeds 60 minutes.

For both a Sports Massage and Kinesiotherapy a table with a hard underside, and legs that have a slight inclination are important for both these disciplines.

For both Spa and Esthetics what you are looking for is a table that will allow you to offer a complete line of treatments to your clientele. It needs to be multi-functional to adapt to the different types of techniques that it will be used; bodywork, esthetics, massage, reflexology, etc...

In Osteopathy the preference is for a table that has a rectangular head rest (for support while the therapist is doing cervical work) rather than a crescent shaped head rest.

Suggestions :
How do I choose the right size table?

The width: must be chosen with the type of clientele and the therapist's comfort in mind. Ideally a width of 28 inches will do for most therapists. However, a smaller sized therapist would find it easier to work with a table width of 24 inches. The important thing is to find the right combination, so that you can work ergonomically, while still offering the client the maximum in comfort.

The length: The standard length is 6 feet for most tables.

The height: The height is adjustable on all tables. Depending on the technique, the ideal height will vary, to ensure that you are using the most efficient use of your body weight.

What are the different types of surface covering on the Nomade tables?

Vinyl: Is the standard base surface covering.

Whisper: Is a manufactured leather like surface covering.

Ultra Leather: Is the top of the line-manufactured leather like surface covering, Ultra Leather offers a superior comfort, stain resistance and a longer durability.
